Drawing and Painting Class for ages 8+ - this class is great for artists wanting to build their skills or just starting out. We’ll introduce key concepts in art and broaden our understanding. How can we show depth, perspective, and form in a 2d world? Let’s discover and get inspired together! Here, imagination and skill come together in a dynamic and supportive environment!
Students will explore the fundamentals of drawing and painting through a series of engaging projects designed to ignite creativity and enhance technique. From mastering pencil shading and perspective to experimenting with vibrant mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and more! Each session offers a blend of traditional methods and contemporary approaches.
Mondays 5:00-6:30 Ages 8+
Drawing and Painting class for ages 8+ - Dive into technique and explore mediums! We’ll expand on foundational exercises to understand composition, line, color, value, and form using contemporary and engaging approaches. Our knowledgeable and experienced instructors bring their own dynamic experience in painting and drawing, allowing for deepened investigation in mediums such as acrylic, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, and watercolor. Subject can range from still life to imagination, letting each teen direct their artistic expression.
Tuesday 4:30-5:30 ages 7-13
Anime and Manga Illustration, ages 7+ - Let’s learn about manga! What makes these illustrations unique and identifiable? We’ll uncover and discover techniques in drawing our own characters- learning about proportion, color, and line. Students will focus on drawing eyes, expressive figures, and scenes.
Artists will have the opportunity to do character design, understand story telling, and practice their skills with our knowledgeable instructors. We’ll use water based and alcohol based pen and ink for authentic illustrations!
